A work in progress, Nostalgia will be a 6-part piece that interprets Pokemon backsprites from versions Red, Blue, and Green as what they would "actually look like".Bulbasaur through Arbok

EDIT: I am getting started on this project again soon so I went back and straightened up the alignment on these dudes. Looks a lot nicer now.

I was always confused why the backsprites were so low-res, considering they used as much of the screen as the front ones.

to be honest, I think when I was drawing Ekans I had sort of a brain fart. I was like "I KNOW this looks like something familiar, but I can't place it, so *draws it as Alakazam holding a spoon*"
