Description Colour wheel made of stuff in our house. Bless my boyfriend's knowledge of photography. Please do the photo justice and watch it in full size.
(The thing in the middle is a lava lamp.)

Thank you!
It's a species of asparagus, but not edible sadly.

Thank you! I'm very grateful that the camera was good enough to capture colour well in low-light conditions, even using the lava lamp as the primary light source.

Well it turned out very nice! ^^ The lava lamp as the light source is a super cool idea! It gives everything a rich and silky look!

It's actually two photographs taken in slightly different lighting (thank goodness for tripods), of which one is at 60% opacity. The two light sources present are (for the two separate pictures) the lava lamp in the middle and a 'regular' lamp further away in the room. We did slightly bump up the saturation of the blue/purple hues, since orange-ish light isn't very kind to them.

Haha, normally photography is simple and quick for me, too, but the photo session for these things took at least half an hour.

Had to dig them out of the digital trash, but yes, here they are! Turns out I got the proportions slightly wrong though, it was more like 70% opacity, but oh well. One of them had badass shadows (makes the metallic highlight on the yellow slackline/rope stand out really nicely) and some cool grain, and the other had more vibrant colours (I think due to slower shutter speed making it absorb more light, and the background light helping it elevate the non-orange colours a bit more than the lava lamp). We had a couple more photos that didn't make it into the final product, such as a really pastel-like one where the exposure time was even longer.
