The sands fall, the gears turn.
You guard the glass, you guard the clock.
Yet I need not guard that which casts my shadow,
I guard that which binds us all, that what makes us what we are.
But without you, I would not be who I am today.

Can you guess what the poem is about? There are multiple layers to it, so I'm curious how deep you feel like digging, or what you can see what I don't.

This drawing was impossible to capture properly with a camera or scanner. There are gold and silver accents that light up when hit by light under a certain angle, but the scanner couldn't grab it and the camera could only catch it under an angle. :')
This photo has been heavily distorted in Photoshop to make it look like the original again (it was photographed at a roughly 45 degree angle), but at the cost of some quality and details- sorry about that.

My boyfriend took two pictures artistically capturing the drawing with light at a non-illuminating angle, and at a higher contrast to specifically show the accents. Definitely recommend you check them out to get a better idea of the whole.

I'm super happy with the effect, but it's much much easier to see in RL. :')
