so there's a warrior cats series called power of three. and when i was a lot younger i got a cat around the same time i was a big fan of reading the warrior cats books. i also had a dog. and foxes are often called the cat-like canine for having analogous (not homologous) features like the independently evolved elliptical pupils. jayfeather/lionblaze/hollyleaf are nice, except for the part about hollyleaf being replaced by dovepaw in Omen of the Stars. at any rate if there are three animals each with their own specific... identity... that get along mutually together, i suppose "power of three" is a neat way to title that. anyway i was fairly aware of my fox identity from pretty early in my life and would often think about using the animorphs' power (another book series that meant a lot to me, besides warrior cats) to permanently stay in red fox form. but in any case i got along fairly well with my cat and dog.

this was many years ago when i was in elementary/middle school... my cat and dog are no longer with me, or no longer living, now that i am an adult more than a decade later. however i remember them very vividly and think about the times that we shared. i thought it would be interesting to draw my younger self (vixey foxkit/vixey foxpaw) as a less aged version of my current fursona (vixey foxwish), at which point it would scale pretty well to be "larger than cat smaller than dog" which is what gave me the idea of drawing the three of us. hence, the title the "Power of Three" ... i miss both of them. i don't particularly want to share their names, which have special and particular meaning to me. but they meant a lot to me in my youth and i wanted to remember them. unfortunately this was back in the mid-00s when people mostly used film cameras as digital cameras were not very good back then, so i don't have photo references that i can very easily access... i drew their colors the best i could from memory.

i had a bunk bed with bookshelves next to the lower bunk (the entire furniture was like a T shape with storage drawers under the top bed, plus a desk that isn't visible from this angle). i have also drawn my little desk lamp, some books, and my blue/sapphire Pokemon GBA SP edition, which i used to play pokemon sapphire around this time in my life when it was new.

maybe the three will be reunited in the future. i'd like to believe there is such a thing, or an afterlife of some kind. but i'm not particularly fond of any major organized religions. i just know that i miss them.
