A "DD" is a Daily Deviation - which is a set of selected artworks that is posted on the front page of DeviantArt, and changes every day according to what the gallery admins have selected for that day. It's something given to pieces that are of particularly good quality. All catagories can be given a "DD" - and so this one fell into the stock catagory.

DD's are, in a nutshell, staff favorites chosen by the various gallery directors. A lot of people don't realize that stock resources are considered their own gallery. So the stock source gallery directors pick DD's, just like the rest of the art galleries get DD's here on DA.
