Description My eyes are also blacked out for privacy reasons. DO NOT PUT THIS IMAGE ANYWHERE OR USE WITHOUT MY OWN PERMISSION. I will delete if my privacy is violated. I am doing this for the sole purpose of learning how the body works and supporting something I believe in. It is not meant in sexual intent or to be used in other ways than intended.
The reason for doing these comparisons is to expose the anatomically incorrect women in art and comics, as well as the discrimination against them. Women are portrayed as sexual objects with no means of fighting. I believe that a woman can still be feminine yet strong, without sacrificing any respect for herself. These comparisons started out as a curiosity of doing the poses, though after a few flame wars, I've made up my mind. I was misinformed before, and I apologize for anyone whom I offended or was involved in the process.
That being said, I'll explain.

Escher Girls is an amazing Tumblr that I've been checking out lately. It displays the innapropriate and unfair way women are portrayed in art and, mainly, comics and superhero-related things. I thought to myself, "I'm a dancer. I can do those things." YEAH, HARDER SAID THAN DONE! The spines are usually twisted in alignment with the butt and boobs. As seen, I do not have the bust or butt as large as a grown woman's, though it is unnatural how pieces of tape and sprayed-on clothing somehow support boobs and butts. Hmm.

NOW TO ANALYZE THIS THING! ;D

I saw this pose on Real Life Posers and was all, "Hey I can actually do this one. It's really not that hard." So I started out. It took about 6 tries to find out how to position my legs, and then finding where to put my arms. The boob position isn't as well-placed as that of the original image, and the reason that happened was because if I didn't face forward I wouldn't have any boobs to outline.

The question mark on the butt of the original picture is because all I see is a piece of flesh. The girl has no physical butt, it's just a weirdly shaped leg curve that's geared to resemble a butt cheek. Nuh-uh. This was also difficult, because no matter what I did, if I tried to mirror the original picture and face both cheeks to the camera, I would fall. She has no leg support, and I basically shredded my hips to death just staying on the bed. Her spine is jacked up as well. I only outlined the curve of the back and stomach, and she is significantly skinnier. To each their own body top, but that fairy is unnaturally slim.

As you can see in purple, her hip is also a seperate bump that is completely above the surface she is on. As you can see by my purple line, it was nearly impossible. It was very difficult to get the little details, as is seen in the angles of my leg positions. AS FOR THE BOOBS. If my shoulder was moved back and arm forward, my boobs would be in her position. But I would mostly likely fall and not have enough support, and end up in injuring myself.

The Verdict:
This pose is impossible. The leg position is possible, but not the showing of both buttcheeks. The hip cannot be raised so far, and her back curve is normal- but stomach is not. The boobs are unrealistic because, if your arms are moved, the subject would fall down face-first.

Pain Scale:
1= Fine
10= OH THE AGONY

9.

Well there you go darlings!! If you want to request a picture, just link me a note. ;D

XOXO,
Caly<3

"The reason for doing these comparisons is to expose the anatomically incorrect women in art and comics, as well as the discrimination against them"

hahahahaha. I'm sorry, i shouldn't laugh, but i got to the discrimination part & it was just amusing. This is not discrimination: Firstly you almost got into that pose, except the wasp has a couple of advantages over you.
1. She's fictional
2. She's a super heroine in a swimsuit issue, she's meant to be a glorified example, as were the male characters... An just in case you forgot them, you may want to go back and look at the source material [link]
3. Wasp is a lot fitter than you are.
4. You are trying to pose to the position of the camera, it should be done the other way round: The camera is positioned to you & than the camera man, moves you. Because he can see what you can't.
5. Lastly Wasp has one major advantage over you: She's a body in motion, where as you are trying to pose in stationary form.

But mostly i'm just laughing at the idea that this is discrimination: If this is your idea of discrimination, you may want to google the word discrimination & just look at the news articles for the last week... Because this is not discrimination... Just like how Liefeld drawing Hawks legs (from the NU52's Hawk & Dove) with a giant bend in the bone is not discrimination... Its just bad artwork.

Whether the young lady used the terp"discrimination" Or "sexisim" or any other inapropriately that doesn't diminish the fact that she has a point.

I have studied anatomy and the pose wasp is in is unnatural, both her breasts are visible at a similar angle as her behind which is suggesting that she is twisting her chest towards the "camera" and simultaneously twisting her hips around in the same direction, I think you realise that that is physically impossible.

You also commented that the wasp has a fuller body than the user (and in my opinion you did this in a rude manner which was unnecessary), the fact that her breasts are illustrated at that size actually further supports the point that the user is trying to make, that these heroes are objectified in order to increase appeal to users when the point should be that they are superheroes fighting for whatever their varied reasons are and for the most part there is no justification for putting them in sexual poses since that's not what the comic is meant to be about.

Swimsuit issue or not a character which is supposed to represent strength should not be degraded in the manner that is displayed in this photo, whether the character who many see as a hero is female OR male

Even if you had a good point, you can make it in an intelligent and inoffensive manner, something that the user has done quite well but you have yet to master. Please keep your negative opinion to yourself in future unless you are attempting to be informative in a constructive manner.

"Whether the young lady used the terp"discrimination" Or "sexisim" or any other inapropriately that doesn't diminish the fact that she has a point. "

Of course it matters. If I tell you that there are countless lions in my bedroom & my definition of a lion is actually a definition of a car & my definition of bedroom is actually a driveway, I've actually told you two completely different things.

"Swimsuit issue or not a character which is supposed to represent strength should not be degraded in the manner that is displayed in this photo"

So you consider women who put themselves in such a position are degraded? How are they degraded?

Never mind that poor miss fairy has seemingly broken her ankle as well. Thank you for not breaking your ankle for the sake of sexy feet curvature!

I love how the original doesn't even seem to be fully placing her front hand on, uh, whatever that metal thing is. So it's EXTRA impossible xD

Well done! This is a great comparison. And don't be scared or too disdainful of feminism or feminists. We're not scary, we're just enthusiastic about our rights, really! <3

Haha, I completely understand! <3 The only thing that's bothering me at the moment is the backlash I've been getting about the second paragraph.

I assumed you were talking about your own personal ideal rather than your expectations of all women in general.
