More sketches for 's story, Blood Feather.

So this time, I made a list of possible alien species Mer could be besides Irken. The top two come from the Zim show, while the bottom two are original and just a play-around (I did use 's moth species as reference for four). Number 1 is the only one that has a background concept behind it; the other three were just thoughts.

1.) For this one, the idea I had was that she Mer was born a Vortian. Her parents, aware of her power, were afraid that the Irken Empire would find her out and come to claim her as an experiment, or a fuel source, or even worse a weapon. They fled their home world and hid in the outer reaches, where the Empire had not yet managed to gain power. Eventually, however, Mer's parents die, and she's left in the custody of a less than savory character that forces her to work at his establishment; first she's a servant, then as she comes of age, he forces her to be an entertainer for his customers, a dancer specifically. All this time, she never fully learns the extent of her power, not until later, when she is discovered by the Rebellion and freed from her enslavement.

2.) This one is based on the Crystal race we see in the episode, "Hobo 13". The idea of Mer as a Crystaline being interested me, specially with her power, being very energy and all.

3.) In the original story, Mer was like an incarnation of 's character, Holybird, so the idea of an avian race race (even though Holybird is a dragon technically) interested me.

4.) My experiment with Mer as a Tallest made me wonder what other sort of tall race I could make her. A sort of butterfly-esque being was a thought that came to mind.......... that is about it.

Alright that is all for now. I shall see what else I can do aside from these options. Hope you enjoy. ^^
