The wonderfull colors of your shot just forced me to click the thumbnail and look who made it.
The beauty of this shot tells me you got an eye for the many beautifull things about and in a forest.
Glad to see it takes also the attention of your eyes and camera.
Keep on shooting like that , now it's that beautifull time of the year again (although in general I'm more a "spring"-guy)
with forests showing another beautifull side of them.
I can't leave it too, I just made this ~~shot~~.

Thank you! Yes - that's exactly the way it was... calm, not eerie. You can hear the ocean from there too. Everything was very lush and green, but I really think the black and white captures it best.

It looks quite difficult to get through, though!

Very true! Even the forest floor is very mossy and 'spongy', from years of old growth trees falling and rotting there. Never know if you are just going to fall in and not come back out! lol

Just a suggestion...you might consider resizing it, as it's a bit distracting to have to scroll around the full-view size.

Thanks for the suggestion! At first I freaked out, thinking I'd accidently left it at it's real full size view - which is about four times the size of what it is now. lol
I have an ultra huge monitor, so I forget the size sometimes.
