Time rolls by and Sans continues to grow. Gaster's motivations, meanwhile, continue to be a mystery.--
I know, it's a bit late. Things have just not been going well for me so everything is coming up late at the moment, but I still have faith that it'll get better really soon and then we can get back on track just like I promised. I love this story, I love you guys. This episode is a touch short, but the next one is going to be a real kicker, and we're close to meeting some familiar faces, to boot.

I only ever played the game once and that was for the true pacifist ending. I read about the other routes and things rather than playing them myself which know is probably cowardly. I accept that.
I held onto the save file of the game I finished and uninstalled Undertale from my computer. That save file remains untouched from where I left it. I refuse to play it again.
You know why?
I knew Sans was aware of resets, at least to a point. In the genocide route I'm remember reading him say at s certain point
"If we're really friends...then you won't come back."
I thought about it afterward and came to a conclusion.
Once you achieve a happy ending then you have done the best possible thing you could for everyone. If you were to reset then all you would do is you we be dragging them back underground again, behind the barrier, cut off from the surface. Alive yes, but back to where they wished to escape from.
Most won't remember it the reset. So it might appear as if it was okay. But there is one is aware, one who Will remember that they once had the happy ending, and then it got taken away again.
Maybe I think too much about these things but I keep coming back to that thing he said.
"If we're really friends...then you won't come back."
I know it's something I never heard in game. But I believe if I were to reset after giving everyone a happy ending...then that would be taking away their happy ending now wouldn't it?
But it I were to leave the game be after achieving the best possible outcome I could ask of the game then maybe they could all live happily ever after.
I know that sounds very sappy but it's what I think. And I'm going to stick by it and not reset the game.
Because if I was really friends with Sans, then I should let him have his happily ever after too.

Only normal resets he seems to actively remember. At the end of a True Pacifist route you can do a True Reset. Not even Sans remembers you after one of those.
Yeah, I know playing it again forces everyone back underground, but I start missing my friends.
As long as I never kill anyone, no real harm is done. And I do not have the heart to kill anybody, even Flowey. Before I read about what he says in genocide route I felt my anger fade when I saw him hurt, and after I read it, I feel sorry for him even more.
Sans only says that to you in genocide because of the person you become.
If you do a normal reset after talking to him in the Judgement Hall, he actually encourages you to reset a few more times. He ends up giving you two passwords to tell him when you return, before giving you the key to his room.
He only views resets as bad if you do genocide, and you only get the key if you do Pacifist.

Alright, fair enough. I see your points and they are valid. But I'll still stand by my decision.
Stay determined and stick to yours as well. We all view things different and that ain't so bad. Refreshing even.
I haven't got much time at the moment so I'll finish up. Undertale is a story that we chose to live and help shaoe. Everyone will take bits and pieces and some will turn away altogether as with everything. But if it's something that makes you happy ( even if it's in a sad way) stick to it.
No matter what others tell ya.

One more thing, this isn't to say that you resetting the game is evil or bad.
That your decision and that's fine and I respect that.
