It's alright, it just came off like headcanon bashing and I've had a stressful day. ><
Anyhow, I'm drawn to the idea of Paps being older because of the way Sans follows his lead almost automatically. Wherever Papyrus goes, Sans follows, and never the other way around. Yes, Sans comes across as the more mature of the two, but mere maturity is never a sure sign of age-- goodness knows my younger sister is much more mature than I am. The way Papyrus asserts himself and feels it to be his responsibility to take care of Sans, protect him, watch out for him, and even get him a job solidify this in my mind. So we all do have our headcanons about it, but that's my reasoning.
