Shes not too bad c: The only marking I feel is a bit out of place is the pink splatter on her upper leg, I think if you were to tone it down a bit and make the shape a bit more defined it would be easier to replicate and it would suit her design better, or 'fit in' more :3 Don't get me wrong, I like her design, keep her how you want to but its just a suggestion ^^

I think this is the worst OC I have ever seen in my life. Its an eyesore and hurts me to know it even exists. You should feel bad about this. Just get rid of all your so called "creativity" the world does not need anymore disasters.

And yes, if you actually use your imagination, you can come up with something beautiful/and or creative. It's highly unlikely anyone else would have a beautiful character like this. Some people might like neon hues, while some keep to realistic and warm, soft colors. There is nothing wrong with making a dog this color. And oh, has it occured to you that this very pattern could be represented on another animal, except with realistic colors? Never thought of that, have you? (I'm highly doubting that, though there can be a similar pattern.) You have no right to call this terrible. Please refrain from calling others' work 'terrible' and keep to a ettiquete type of 'crituque.'

I have to agree with you. I see many animals in nature with multiple neon colored paws/noses/etc. Hell, your OC here is almost an exact clone of my cat. The likeness is uncanny! Seriously though, I don't know how you can't see this as ridiculous. It looks as if someone ate neon paint and then had explosive diarrhea on a dog. The colors are obnoxious to say the least and the patterns are absurd and unnecessary. I pray to god there isn't a terrible back story to compliment this abomination.
I would start from scratch and look at some real animals for perspective.

i want to say thank you for the first part. and well, yes, the colors are kinda stupid. but ii started this character when i was only in fourth grade and worked up until now. but i guess i worked too much. but i dont want to change her. i think i would like to keep her how she is, and start all over again with a different color. i thought she looked fine until i really looked at her. i was going to stop drawing completly, but then i got ur message. i think ill just set her aside and work on a new character, one that wont have so much crazy neon colors. something that would look more realalistic. though this really hurts me, and is hard on me, you people are right on how aful this is. but then again, i didnt make her to be realalistic, i made her to be unrealalistic. but ive become to dependend on that, and i need to make a character that is more normal. i still want to keep my character, but i dont know, i never was commented on something bad about her before. this is kinda new to me.

I have to agree with your one friend, you never asked for any criticism and it can seem rude of a stranger to be bad mouthing something you've made. But you seem like you might be open to some real constructive criticism and I would be more then willing to give it.
I did look up this "sparkle dog" thing and I blame Lisa Frank for that even being a thing. Most of that seems like an excuse to make a complete eyesore of a character. Whether you intended it or not I feel that this character ended up at that level. I feel that you started with a simply idea and just kept adding to it until it became what it is today. I do think you can, and should, save this character and make it less crazy, even if that means just keeping the color ideas and going from there. Just as this character has grown from when you started it in fourth grade to now, it can continue to grow into something even better.
I don't think you should stop drawing at all, practice makes perfect and all that. Hell, draw more now, even if just to spite me, so you can improve. I would never want to convince someone that they shouldn't continue to try. Just the opposite in fact.
Nature has plenty of colors so that doesn't mean that your OC needs to be only browns and blacks. It doesn't need to be realistic colors for that animal but it should be realistic color groupings. Here is a site with color groupings from things in nature. [link] Notice that even with the bright and exciting colors there is a level of saturation and value that make them seem "natural". I think that everyone has the ability to improve their art as long as they are willing to strive for it.
