Man, this took forever to ink, for obvious reasons.Since I didn't include her in the last pic of the "Band" , I thought Yukina's assistant needed a pic of her own to make up for it ^_^
This is what made me miss my post for yesterday, but I'm hoping to post the color version later tonight as well to make up for that.
Feel free to color. As usual, just be sure to credit me and send me a link to it when it's done

The purpose of asking permission is because there are certain things you might not want to be associated with the club for whatever reason. For example the current stamp I have favorited has nothing really to do with SpiritSong itself. It's krimmie's Music is my Painkiller stamp. I thought it might go with the theme of SpiritSong though. However if you think this stamp is inappropriate to the FanClub then I will remove it.

Still, I'll let you make a judgment call on that. You're the admin, after all. I wanna have the least amount of say in the club as possible. My comic is simply the inspiration. Only reason I even watched it was so I can keep an eye on it and see how it goes. As for writing the journal and stuff, I did that as a favor to you ^^ But from here on out I'm leaving it up to you. All I can do is trust you won't let it die.

Okay, but remember I'm new at this stuff so that's why I still need your help until we can get it really running smoothly. I was thinking of copying your journal for the next journal. Is that okay? I will of course credit you for the content, with a few minor changes (I won't change anything but say that it is YOUR contest). This is so it can inform the club better of contests and such that are associated with SpiritSong. Unless you think the club should not involve itself in your own contests and we should make our own?

Well, you can mention the contest at the club, but don't post all the rules and junk. Just post a link or something in the journal to my journal. Since, technically, it IS my contest. But, like you said, it's an SS contest, so it's worth mentioning at the club. Though, most of the people in the club are people who found out about it from me XP
But if you want to, go for it.

I have to agree with *FifteenthApostle , it doesn't look like fire, it looks more like grass blades.
I know a good way to figure out the actual direction to have the flames go, I just fail on the application, but other people can do it better. Basically, you have to think of the fire in terms of physics. Flames always billow up from the source at a constant speed, no matter what orientation the burning object is positioned. The direction and speed the source object is moving affects the apparent angle of the flames.
For this, if the ring and head themselves are sitting still, the flames should all be going up from them, as though there is an actual object positioned there that's burning.
As for flames themselves, there's an excellent video example here , though it's likely that this simpler example will be more helpful for getting the basics. Don't forget to include a few tiny "embers" falling from the bottom and rising above it. Even magical fire has those!
Above all, don't make it too complicated! There's simply too many lines in this, that's the biggest reason it looks like a plant.
Look over some fire techniques like the ones I just linked to you, and try this again! Better you learn now than later!

Burn baby! 
No offence, but it looks more like vines or leaves than fire. If it hadn't been for the title, I probably wouldn't have known what it was. Of course I don't exactly know how to draw fire myself. It is one of the most stupidly hard things to draw after all. Maybe if it was transparet it would help. 
The character anatomy looks good though. And I like the dragon head.

lol yeah, fire's harder than even water is. And this is my first time drawing it too, really. So here's what I know:
Fire usually has a source. The flames will sprout and lick from this source. And although fire's always in an inconstant shape, it still has a basic pattern that the flames take the shape of.
The problem with this drawing was that there was no real source of the fire. So I had to just draw a line for it's path and draw a swirling plume ^^
As you said, it would look better transparent, but even I need a base to work off of with fire XP So don't worry, it'll look a lot better colored.

lol yeah, that's the idea XP The inspiration popped in my head right after I finished the sketch for that "Band" poster, and so I imagine she's angry at me for not including her
But yeah, she's a prodigal musician from the Falcon family, so she's a fierce fighter.

Yeah, I kind of figured that. She's all like, "HOW DARE YOU LEAVE ME OUT! NOW YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUE MEANING OF THE SAYING 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!', CREATOR!"
I'm kidding, but she really DOES look pretty angry.
Yeah, I would assume so. But I thought it odd that she's summoning a dragon without the the use of her flute... of course I'm stupid and I don't know how their powers work, nor do I wish to know until the proper time.

And I can tell you a bit about her power if you want. But for now I'll just tell you that she's been trained to be a Musician since she could walk. After all, she's part of Lyrica's strongest clan of Musicians XP So, since she's so well trained, she doesn't need to summon her instrument to use her ability freely.
