Mission Details:
Master Zhu has lost his precious fireworks bag! Strangely enough, the contents, a load of fireworks, was left behind just inside of Creeping Forest. It MUST be retrieved and new-mother Peaches is on the job! After Sprout leaves Tao Village for a family visit to Sapling Village, Peaches is left behind to care for their egg on her own. Will the dangerous fireworks scramble the unborn baby pokemon?! Or will Peaches be able to juggle a mission AND child care??

Looks like it's time to call in some help!

Note: Because I did not join the guild in time, Team Amber was not able to participate in Mission 1, so there is no comic about it.

This was actually supposed to be colored by ForrellianLight of team Stormport, but she was unable to get it done. As such, I'll be coloring this one too asap. Kinda funny how all the uncolored ones are in a line like this.

Alrighty, so I think it's time I explained the main aspect of this part...Peaches fear of fire, aka Pyrophobia

I can't tell you too much of this one, cuz it has to do with the comic she originates from, Pokemon: RedAmber. But let's just say that Peaches has had a traumatic experience with fire before.

No...her parents NOR her siblings died in a fire lol In fact, it was thanks to Peaches herself that there were NO casualties of the fire that caused her fear. The root of her fear is the fact that because of that, SHE nearly became the only casualty of the blaze. The flashback frame there shows her as a Pichu, but that's more symbolic of how fire makes her feel....weak and helpless like a child.

She can handle small amounts of fire just fine, like a campfire or a Charmander's tail, even Zhu's chin flame doesn't bother her too much lol The main thing she's afraid of is the overwhelming and all-consuming HEAT that comes with fire. She feels suffocated by it and it causes her to freeze up completely. That's why when Luso squirted her with cool water it snapped her out of it a bit. She was still pretty shaken though, which is why she was startled by Slasher's attack with that burning stake, and as a result could do little more than block it from hitting her stomach or chest.

Some of you might also be thinking that she shouldn't be collapsed on the ground from one slash on the arm. The basis for that is I was trying to think along the lines of the pokemon games. A critical hit does double damage and ignores any stats or stat modifiers. Put that with the "fire element" added by the flaming stick, and it becomes a pretty huge blow to her HP. Peaches IS in her 40s on levels though, so she didn't faint from it.

Hmmm...not much else to say about this part except that I've never drawn more FIRE in my life lol
