Code Geass - Where's Kallen[Episode- R2 20]
I got to say that I was a bit disappointed in episode 20. Kallen is my favorite character in the series. I had to put up with her in prison for weeks. Yes, she got out and had two good episodes with some nice dramatic scenes, but in episode 20 she had one speaking line. Later in the episode they show big group meetings of everyone, but Kallen. Where was she?
I decided to play off the event of C.C. going back to get Cheese-kun, and explain where Kallen could of been.
She walks in on Kallen wearing her dress. Before she leaves there is NO WAY she can't get in one last tease.
I know C.C. wears white shorty shorts while in that dress. What Kallen has on is just her panties under the dress.
I have her here in Lelouch's room. Upset how she couldn't protect Lelouch, the Black Knights wont listen to her, and she can't even find C.C. Lelouch in the episode did say how he was trusting C.C. to Kallen's care.
Sucks we never got to see Kallen interact with the young C.C. That could of been funny. I was really looking forward to it.
I get why Kallen didn't have a big role, but why not just show her in the meetings. Normally, a writer will remove a character from large meetings if there is something they are talknig about that the writer doesn't want that specific character to know, or know yet.
You may notice her hair style look different while she's wearing the dress. It's not spiked up, like normal, but it also isn't down. It's somewhere in between.
I saw her with this style in the first Code Geass R2 Picture Drama. I thought it looked really cute. It looks perfect for wearing that gown.
The drama is picking up so much it's getting frustrating waiting a week for each episode. Normally around this time I would stop watching till the season is over. That way I could just watch the finale in one clump. I did that with season one.
I have these 4komas to work on though. I said I'd do them weekly. This is a test of my skill and speed.

Seeing how R2-20 was just a setting for some mindfucking upcoming episode, this is a real breath of fresh air. That's cute, & sexy, & funny. Very engaging, Kallen looks very feminine in C.C.'s outfit on panel 2 (something they don't really work into in the original work) and her expression on panel 3, a genuine blush and a childish smile, instantly indicates what she is now thinking about (plus she's too busy looking at her butt to notice HER). The mirror thing is a clever move. C.C. made another platinum quality memory for her collection.

It seems surprising how fast we are getting the answers of Marianne's death. After episode 21 there will still be four more episodes.
There have been a few times Kallen has looked rather girlie and cute. Like that scene Kallen went to go find Lelouch.
Like with the series I purposely interrupted Kallen's thoughts. Kind of leaving things open to what her thoughts were.
Thanks. I knew it would be silly to just have her standing there in the dress looking to the audience. I thought about just showing her looking into a mirror in the room, but I thought it would be more funny to reveal C.C. in the reflection with that wicked grin.
My favorite touch is to show them in the foreground to really sell you are looking into the reflection.

Seeing the way they rushed to wrap Moe C.C. and Anya's case I can feel that at least half of the screentime left will be... not so good. And I'm still waiting for Nunnally's miraculous return or else the ending of this show will probably have the same taste to me than FMA to you (read the manga you'll have a blast). About Kallen she definitively had the same innocent look back in R2-07 when Lelouch was starting to make "his move" (somehow it amaze me to see that so far every Lelouch/Kallen moment is a top tier quality animation and presentation). I didn't notice you used the mid level haircut (she probably came out of the shower ten minutes ago as her hair slowly became spikier, plus the towel) wich is totally beautiful (and provides niiice WP material).
Going to far : Taniguchi's previous work GunxSword where Carmen 99's name is (suspiciously?) pronounced "Kalulu"... bad jokes don't cheer up, eh ?

Hahaha. I wonder how the Black Knights got their uniform, where lelouch got the Zero mask, where C.C. got her incredibly beautiful dress. But more than that, this is hilarious. I love how Kallen looks in the dress, though it's elegance does only fit C.C.
Kallen's expression in frames 2-4 are amazing, though i think you could'ved done a little better with C.C.

Well, Lelouch had someone make his outfit and then he Geassed him to forget.
I think C.C.'s expressions came out just right. First she looks like a cat that sees a mouse and the next she can't help but grin wickedly.

The grin and spying on Kallen from third panel is good'nall but specifically the phrase "That's right i'm BACK" doesn't seem to fit the expression perfectly for me. It's all persepctively though so it doesn't matter. It's an awesome 4koma nevertheless.

I doubt Kallen will be seen much next episode. This one looks to be more about the mystery behind Marianne's death. I do hear Kallen will have a speaking role.
