Code Geass - Where's Kallen[Episode- R2 20]
I got to say that I was a bit disappointed in episode 20. Kallen is my favorite character in the series. I had to put up with her in prison for weeks. Yes, she got out and had two good episodes with some nice dramatic scenes, but in episode 20 she had one speaking line. Later in the episode they show big group meetings of everyone, but Kallen. Where was she?
I decided to play off the event of C.C. going back to get Cheese-kun, and explain where Kallen could of been.
She walks in on Kallen wearing her dress. Before she leaves there is NO WAY she can't get in one last tease.
I know C.C. wears white shorty shorts while in that dress. What Kallen has on is just her panties under the dress.
I have her here in Lelouch's room. Upset how she couldn't protect Lelouch, the Black Knights wont listen to her, and she can't even find C.C. Lelouch in the episode did say how he was trusting C.C. to Kallen's care.
Sucks we never got to see Kallen interact with the young C.C. That could of been funny. I was really looking forward to it.
I get why Kallen didn't have a big role, but why not just show her in the meetings. Normally, a writer will remove a character from large meetings if there is something they are talknig about that the writer doesn't want that specific character to know, or know yet.
You may notice her hair style look different while she's wearing the dress. It's not spiked up, like normal, but it also isn't down. It's somewhere in between.
I saw her with this style in the first Code Geass R2 Picture Drama. I thought it looked really cute. It looks perfect for wearing that gown.
The drama is picking up so much it's getting frustrating waiting a week for each episode. Normally around this time I would stop watching till the season is over. That way I could just watch the finale in one clump. I did that with season one.
I have these 4komas to work on though. I said I'd do them weekly. This is a test of my skill and speed.

I was looking forward to this after watching the sad state of an anime we call Code Geass.
It had the ingredients for being a good anime, but they used the wrong recipe for it.

This series has been so good so far, but I do agree ep 20 was a tad disappointing. I'm just hoping for either a super satisfying ending or a guarantee for a third season.

Kallen looks excellent in C.C.'s clothing, I must say. I liked the reflection effect for the last three panels; it was quite cool. C.C.'s grin also made the comic. Good to have you back, C.C. Great art, as always.
Perhaps Kallen wasn't in the meetings because she left (and, somehow, no one had noticed yet)? It seems to me that she wouldn't be in the meeting with Xing Ke and Kaguya, because, while an ace pilot, she isn't a political player, but her absence from that one big meeting I found suspicious. Even the Bridge Bunnies were there! I thought/hoped she had gone for Lelouch, and that maybe they're setting up for a surprise Kallen appearance in the fracas at Kaminejima. I didn't take issues as much with Kallen's nonpresence this episode, given, under the circumstances, that the focus was mostly elsewhere, but I'm hoping to see more of her next week.
Man, Geass just cranks out those plot twists. Pacing was a little funky, but as we're approaching the end, I don't mind. Just hoping to get some explanation, more Kallen, and Suzaku flipping out (again - actually, I thought you might have parody the "Live" Geass with this one, but I like what you came up with here

It just seemed odd that Kallen wasn't showed at the meeting. Now that she knows where Lelouch is it should be interesting to see what she does.
She might of met at the other meeting to try and talk to Kaguya. Since Ougi and the others wont listen. She might think they would be more open to listen to her.
She's a popular character. You'd think they would at least show where she was. Even if she didn't speak.

Re: Kallen: Oh, of course. That is why I am looking forward to a major pants-kicking for Britannia the next time Kallen arrives on scene. Although, whose pants need kicking are a little bit in question. Way to go, Lelouch - Geassing half of the army into doing your bidding just when your devious, spank-loving half-brother stages a coup.

One of my favorite comic strips from you. (Mostly for the how much Kallen's in it.) I wouldn't say that episode 20 was a total upset, I still loved it and I like where the plot is going. I find if Kallen's not in a episode that much she tends to consume a lot of screen time in the next episode, or the one after that.
I love the way you drew Kallen in this, I dunno if you drew her well or if the awesome hairstyle is coming into play, either way really like her in it.

I doubt Kallen will appear much at all in the next episode. This one will be about the mystery of Marianne's death. That's the largest mystery that started everything. Odd how soon the answer is coming. After this there are still 4 more episodes.

Of course I entertain the idea of Kallen sneaking out of BK to go look for Lelouch, but at this moment she has no idea where C.C is. I don't see Kallen sneaking out without her since Lelouch would've wanted her to. I myself see her talking to Kaguya or someone else to get their opinions on the matter, or maybe something else, Code Geass loves to keep me triple guessing myself.
The Geass plot and Marianne's death getting wrapped up this episode feels pretty good to me, honestly. I find after that realization Lelouch will have to have SOMETHING to fight for, but at this point, his only reasons are for his friends and himself. I dunno, I'll just wait til' Sunday. xD
