Description
When I was a child I was abused and ignored in almost equal ammounts, my father took no interest in me until I was ready and my mother spent most of the time pretending I didn't exist and the rest hurting me because I did. So in those times when I was alone I would watch a lot of TV, and what I really liked were the superheroes. See they would fight bad guys, save the day, wear cool outfits and people would like them for it. Mayor would give them the key to the city, they'd get their own light in the sky, museums and such. That's what I wanted, I didn't care about beating up the bad guys at first I just wanted people to like me. I wanted to be someone everyone would see coming down the street and be like 'Hey look it's that guy! How you doing man, we love you dude!'When I was older I thought I had it, I mean by then I knew the superhero game wasn't a walk in the park, I'm not superman and I'm not bullet proof but I can still kick all their asses if I know how. I went through all the training, all the torture and all the pain because I believed in the cause. I thought I was part of something just, I believed I was saving the world and taking out the bad guys. It didn't matter that almost everyone I met wanted to kill me because I had people close to me who were fighting alongside me. It was all built on a lie, and the truth always comes out.
I'm not a superhero, yeah okay I've got a fancy suit and a mask and I work with Batman who let's face it is like the Christopher Lee of Superheroes. But I'm not a kid anymore, I know what I am. I am a warrior, that much I always will be, and I'm only a hero if they say so. But now it doesn't matter if I can't stop fighting, it doesn't matter how much I hurt and it doesn't matter how broken I am, I got them and they like me.

This young man has come a long way, conceptually he existed from the beginning purely to be a foil/sidekick to Ronin and then he just grew into something bigger. He's changed over the two years I've had him out, changed personality somewhat, his methodology and even his ethnicity but he is still my badass sonic swordsman. This is Fox ladies and gentlemen

Your picture is good. I personally don't have a clue as of what it is but its still a good picture. For the kid, the shirt is see has a tear in the bottom left and is slanted so props to that. The jeans are good because I can see that you add creases in the knees with I haven't seen in quite a long time. The shadow is nice, it gives the feel of something important. The teen is good. The chest and shoulder pieces are well in detail. I noticed that the gun holster is on his left side while the gun is in his right hand so that bugs me a little. The muscle tones in his abs are detailed. The sword is annoying me because there is no holster. Its like it came out of thin air and then goes back to its vapor form. The adult is pretty kick but. The mask is a great feature. The body armor is again a well thought out feature and defines the muscular toning of the body quite well in my believe. You have a come-back with the sword because now you have a holster but now where is the sword. Not much can be said about the background picture, its good. Over all, good picture. Good luck and best wishes in your art. ^\/^!!

Okay then, in teen image the sheathe is on his back so he'd draw it from his back. In the final image he is holding the sword, it's a different one now.
Thank you so much for your critique, much appreciated

Right as much as I am very appreciative of this critique I think this would have been better suited for the comment section. I am grateful that you liked the piece but when writing a critique detail is key, so if you would like to leave this in the comment section that would be awesome but if you want to leave a critique it would be wonderful if you put some depth and detail into it. I don't mean to sound ungrateful but critiques by nature require a bit more detail, hence the name.
If you don't wanna do that, that's fine. Like I said I am thankful you liked the piece

Hey, I saw this at Project Comment.
Overall, this is a striking piece. Here are my thoughts:
I'll start with the good, and there's a lot to like here. The overall sense of style is excellent, reminiscent of the Batman animated series from the '90s. I love the concept of showing character progression in a single image like this, and the thematic text you include in the caption complements the image beautifully. The color palette is consistent and seems to resonate with the "determination overcoming pain" themes in the caption. The most interesting part of the image for me is the little girl on the right-hand side. Her strikingly different coloring, and the changed styling of the mask and wrist elements in the character's adult life image reminds me of the transformative power of parenthood and being responsible for a young life. It calls to mind my own changes in character that came with fatherhood.
I don't have much in the way of suggestions for improvement. I might tweak the abdominal armor in the central image; the pads don't seem to correspond to the size and placement I would expect. Narrowing and raising them would help, I think. The background texture doesn't transition well from the left side to the center. I'd suggest using a linear gradient to fade it uniformly out rather than the somewhat piecemeal approach you've taken.
Anyway, great job, and thanks for sharing this! Have a llama.

You may have noted in the description that as a child Fox was subject to abuse and neglect. So yeah not a lot of nice clothes

Oh, THAT kind of growth for the character. I was kinda thinking that he'd become a Monster-Beast Kid after all that abuse, or something.
Me & my imagination.

hum... Well i like sad and tortured characters and jack's childhood seems pretty sad. plus at the end he feels really bad-ass in a batman way, a warrior, not a super hero... I mean i'm not good with words , even less in english , but i liked this story and the fact you choose to write from Jack's perspective also maybe, i think allow us to get more in the character's mind Anyway , good job
