2nd: "Non-friction" is referring to the type of book non-fiction. When Dash says "This isn't the non-friction section" she is implying that it is the "friction" section. Friction referring to science, of course.
3rd: When speaking of stories in regards to a building one is usually referring to the amount of floors it has. In this case though, she is referring to books.
