It's been slow at work lately. Got this done in two days. (Don't tell my boss. XD)More time travelling Twilight!
What is the book about?

the book is obviously an instruction manual on how to deal with Pinkie Pie.... takes many years of study and practice and of course never break a Pinkie Promise.

The book itself is not a paradox as long as it is a COPY of the book she received as a filly. The information within would then have no origin and be self-creating, but the book is not a paradox unless it is literally the same book, in which case it has infinite age and would require entropy reversal to not be monatomic dust. Copying the book merely requires exact duplication of the text within.=

Nope. So not correct.
Adult Twilight found the book... Normally. A book identical to the one she had as a filly.
She realizes it's not just a copy of, but THE VERY book she just "found" as a filly.
Adult Twi realizes the implications and sends the book back in time, where filly Twily finds it.
Filly Twily grows up with the book and when she's an adult, discovers that very same book... Normally, hence... Loop.
The CATCH, is that the book does not spontaneously generate,a nd the book only makes the loop once.
Adult Twi goes back in time, then very promptly returns to her normal timeline.
The book is made, exists, is sent back in time, where it overlaps with it's own existence, till the original is sent back, leaving the one sent back to continue forward.
Simple.

Maybe this will help richfiles, as I feel your pain. Explaining 4th dimensional travel is hard because people assume things incorrectly.
The reason people are confused is because they aren't thinking about where Twilight got the book to begin with. In order for the loop to start, Twilight had to get the book without time travel, only then would she be able to go back in time and give it to her filly self. As you said, when the book was printed doesn't matter as long as Twilight gets it and then gives her filly self the book.
The book then makes a single loop and here's the part people are skipping over, for period "x" there are two books, book "a" which has not been sent back in time and book "b" which has. Even assuming that filly Twilight keeps book "b" (which isn't necessary, although it is likely), Twilight still acquires book "a" at some point and then both book "a" and "b" exist at the same time. She then sends "a" back in time to her filly self. Thus there is no paradox or decay loop.
As to how the loop started:
In order for a stable time loop like this to exist, you start with an initial reason for going back in time, we'll call this reason "a". Aside from beginning the loop, reason "a" is unimportant. Because by going back in time once, the traveler then creates a reason "b" that causes the time travel to occur. It is possible for reason "a" and "b" to be the same thing, but the source of it has changed from its original source to a time travel caused source. This allows the loop to proceed without reason "a" and instead simply use reason "b".
For the comic, this means:
Twilight chooses to go back in time and give herself a book to change her future(i.e. she wants to improve her life, stop something bad from happening, ect.). In the altered timeline Twilight still does this, however, it's not for the same reason; it's now for a new reason that the time travel has created. In this case, it could be a note from herself, discovering that she has had a book since she was a filly that was only recently written/printed, or that she finds herself with two versions of the exist same book(book "a" and "b") different only by the fact one is older than the other. At this point, the loop is now stable, happens only one time, and has not violated a logic flow of events.

I'm not really sure if anybody mentioned this before but you misspelled delirious as "delerious" in the first panel. If so, I am sorry for repeating. I just didn't feel like going through all the comments. But anyway, terrific work! Filly Twilight is adorable and all the vectors you used looked great. I personally think that the book just has content in it that will inspire herself to grow up as the future Twilight did. It also probably has a message of some sort that she might not recognize or understand until she is older. Keep up the good work

This should explain it. Only one loop ever occurs.
A lot of people seem to be having difficulty grasping 4th dimensional travel.
The thin lines represent instant time travel. Thick lines represent the normal flow of time.
Twilight goes back, and then promptly returns. The book is allowed to make a full loop, but only once.
