for my advance drawing final, we are each given an individual unique series to create. i was giving the task to draw the creatures from the book of revelations. however, i had to completely re-imagine them - my teacher doesn't want them to look anything like any of the example illustrations in the bibles.
for the four horsemen of the apocalypse, i decided to make them the four female centaurs (called kentaurides).

this is conquest. she is the white horse who wields a bow and arrows (though in my finished piece she is with a flag). she is very good at lying and presents herself as regal, adorned in gold and gems. she takes great pride in the way she looks and often goads her sisters into doing things for her. in short, she's kind of a bossy bitch.
i couldn't find anywhere where it explains why conquest is replaced by pestilence in popular culture, but i personally think it's clear. remember those things called the crusades?
also, i didn't think when i was making her pose, so she didn't fit the frame, making her smaller than the rest.
