It was one of my all-time favourite books when I was younger. I was reminded of it because your two cats in this picture look like the main character and his closest friend--a lean black cat and an older, chubbier ginger cat XD

That sounds like our more likely option, although I bet if we had money to burn they'd still sell them at the really up-market places that do men's formal wear.

It was a great favourite of mine because I loved a) cats, and b) heroic characters standing up to an enemy much bigger and stronger than themselves. In fact I kind of want to revisit it now. XD
