You're welcome! I really like small indie games, and I think this one deserves more attention because it's polished, with lots of details and a nice art direction! If you look for a small exploration game, you should like it. Stay tuned for the released!

I wish to find out more about small and nice games.
Many popular games I consider them over-rated due to not bringing something new to the table like this one!
Let's be honest! I personally would be interested in a life of a janitor more than in a life of a generic anime-guy hero!

I agree with you. Most of the big licences force us to be a hero, saving the damsels in distress or saving the world... It can be boring too. Sometimes the best things are the little ones.

I would like to  support this kind of game, because it's ambitious and make us experience something different. But I know 'exposure' is not enough...

Working in the videogame industry, I think one of the biggest issue is to find the money ( and investors), to finance the development process. That usually lasts for years (even for a small game). Moreover, during this stade there are usually lots of adjustments and bugs that can increase the duration (and costs) of the project. So I understand people giving the money don't like to take too much risk.

Money, money, money. Most of our lives need.
With them you can make almost anything. This is the object our reality is build and shaped from.
I am young and I don't understand entirely their valor. But ever since I finished my trip in Italy in this summer, all I think I really need to grow is money.
I know this simple object shouldn't need to occupy an important part of our lives, but us humans make it important. So important, a nice blooming flower won't help a worker from starvation. This is our reality. Because us humans what to aim for the stars. And so do want people like you. Totally understandable.

Sorry if I've made you upset with anything...but I am living in a country where people migrate for such treasure. And so do I need to do too in the future.

Sorry, I didn't noticed you were so young so maybe I was a bit clumsy. But I understand your doubts about the future and would like to clarify (and maybe reassure you?).

Yes, economy leads the world and some people forget the initial purpose of money. They sacrifice their life to have more than they need, but life is not all about that, and I didn't speak about that in my previous comment. I was just trying to explain why it's difficult to create more nice and creative games. And it's mostly because that kind of project doesn't fit in the economic standards.

Money is not a goal, but still necessary for trading: Most of people use it for paying the food, the rent, preventing health trouble and buying the tools they need to keep working and survive in this world. So do the dreamers working on small indie game projects. They are not looking for dollars, but still need to buy a computer with actual money to code, create visual content, have a roof and feed their family during all the development process. Then, to distribute their project to other dreamers who'll play the game (often for free...). I admire those people investing time and efforts for so long without any garanty, and I wish they'll succeed to invest for more great future projects. They'll probably don't if they can't survive.

I know that reality because a few years ago, I decided to leave my country, my day job, money and security, to have more time for my family and work on more creative projects. I don't regret that choice, even if sometimes it's difficult. I'm even happier now, but I still need some money to cover my basic needs.

So yes, money helps. But besides that, it's true that doesn't build what's the most important in life (in my opinion, having some good friends and good skills is much more helpful). So everybody has to figure out what matters, make personal choices and find the good balance. You'll have probably too, and you'll probably make some mistakes before knowing what you really want. But don't forget you don't have to grow a lot of money to be happy, and you don't need to move if you don't want to. All the world , all the skills and knowledges are connected together now, so everything is more easy . And I'm sure you can live from your skills whatever you want to do, wherever you want. The most difficult part is to think about what you want for your life!

Is alright! I don't mind at all! I would love to find out more since I have nobody that can help me regarding the artistic career (especially in these days where you can work for games, TV shows and more).
Money was initially an easier way to trade services or goods, since until their invention, people didn't knew how much stuff can worth a single or multiple items. Now people think about money as something life really needs but is greatly wrong.
Yes and I sadly did a bad move and this discussion rose to another level When I try to do art I try to make it as creative and/or as expressive as possible, because I also want to work into the cartoons industry.

Agree! There is so much to pay with money. And this item transformed our life that we survive in into something other that animals do.

I need to leave my country for education and away fro my home, in a really expensive country. And since the currency in my country is "cheap" even compared to euros, I am not really sure how I can make myself some time to work on commissions. The school schedule is extremely and badly planned to be amble to sustain such thing.

Well.. Wanting to have a best friend forever, a good career in character designing and live well can be considered what I want from life?

So sorry for the late reply , I don't go over there very often!

Did you heard about the erasmus program? There are good art schools in other cheap countries in europe,
so maybe that could help !

Wishing you good luck ! Difficult to know what would be the future but it's always full of unexpected surprises... :')

Is alright! ^_^

Sadly.. no... and nobody explained me about the program. Maybe but for a moment I have to find them!
My father takes this option as a possible one too but... I need to find somebody who knows about them!

Thank you! I agree but I have to be prepared!

Maybe I'm not the best to talk about it, because I did it in Belgium 10 years ago...maybe some stuff changed since. I didn't have the money to continue my studies in big french schools, so I choosed this opportunity

It's a good help for students on a budget, because they can have access to good schools in partnership with the program , it's free of registration fees, and they can have some help/money for scholarship.
Sometimes, administration is slow so you may have to advance all the fees.

I think you'll not find a school specialized in Charadesign because it's too specific ( and there is not so much work in this area), but I recommend you to find a good general art school to learn all the bases of anatomy or maybe animation productions.

No problem! Can you at least tell me how useful it was to you or how the experience was? Is the procedure for joining such program complex?

I know I won't. But I know I can find a school specialized in cartoons.

I did 6 months in the KAASK of Gent ( Belgium), there was a section specialized in traditional animation.

The experience depends on each people, the skills they have, the school choosed, the formation, the country...I meet erasmus students very often in Spain and it's interesting to discover each experience is very different. The more often , it's a very good experience.

To be honnest, the administration for me was my biggest concern. The registration was very easy but I realize later I did the program after graduated ( because my french school prefered that way)... but it wasn't supposed to be like that! So it was a bit complicated... they apparently lost my file (so the firstfew week were messy) and I received my student card the last week of my stay! During all that time I had no real student status, no insurance, I payed in advance all the scholarship (the rent of the flat, the different fees, the tools, the food). It was very stressful. Being on a budget was not the best part of the experience and it also impacted the relationship with other students because I was not able to go out and spend money (but anyway it seems I have much more work than them,  so no time to get bored)

Concerning the school : I think at that time, I was too young to enjoy this experience and to use all the tools I had, to experiment and make my own projects wisely. Before, I was used to work on guided projects, teachers were always not so far to help or say what I had to do or not. There, I was most of the time alone , but I had a workshop for me and all the tools to complete all the student projects I wanted to do.Problem is: I didn't know what to do exactly. Fortunatly I was already graduated so I had some skills and I was open and curious about learning more. So at the enf it was a good experience, I were autonomous and learned a lot of stuff by myself and in the different classes I subcribed. Maybe if I should do it again now, I'm sure I would optimize that better!

Concerning the country, well Belgium was not so exotic for me since I grew up at the border.I learned more about the culture, some bases of Dutch,  met students from everywhere... Then I had so big health issues and I had to come back in France earlier. I was not able to do an internship with Leonardo's program...

Sorry it took so long... now is finally night so I can read in peace.

I understand... I quite face the same problem with what exactly what I have to do at the regular art workshop classes. But my problem is a little different... since I am also to an earlier stage in becoming an artist...

Hmmm... interesting to hear that! Thank you for sharing this with me! ^_^ Is really important for me since I don't have people to ask about art too deeply excluding my teachers with don't have enough time for each pupil. Unlike abroad, in Romania we have lots of kids in one class, from elementary school to high school levels. Somewhere between 25-32 (in some few cases I've heard). Not like a maximum of 15 or lower like somewhere else like I've heard. All this can happen to private schools too.
Now imagine how I can talk to a teacher about myself... Well...Almost nothing really. And if I am lucky to meet somebody like you is a blast no matter what!

And also... Is hard for me in the country. The education here is bad and I am really searching to go abroad no matter what. My father encourages me to do so but it will be difficult for me to adapt so I am literally a sponge for information and stories and such about people like you. Like... I am really afraid of being a freelance. I always want some little things guaranteed to me so I can live comfortably. Like in my class... like the place where I stay. I really get worried when I have my place occupied by somebody else.
