Thanks! I still produce a fair number of "bloopers" too, but there's no harm in that. I consider them a learning experience.

One doesn't have complete control anyway, when making fractals. A machine (computer) is doing the "drawing," after all! A certain amount of planning is possible, and the rest is experimentation and trial-and-error. I think the most important talents in making fractals are being able to recognize when you are seeing something that has potential and putting in the time and effort to make it into a beautiful work of art. Writing is a bit different, is it?

Yes and no, at least for me, when I write I close my eyes and let my hands do the work, sometimes I'm so focused that I don't know what I'm writing, but for my writings to end up here I must feel that they're worth it, I scrap 90% of my work, and not all of my work ends up here, that's why sometimes I take days to upload something new

I decided too, right when I joined dA, to only put my better art on this site. The trouble is that my definition of "better" keeps changing. I am not 100% happy with everything I have here, though I am fond of all of it. I suppose we all change and make progress over time, and it's okay to let other people see that. The work of famous historical artists, writers, and musicians changed too, during the course of their lives.
