Description
This is my entry for #Unframed-Nature 's "Earth Day Every Day" Contest. It's from the journal: [link]
A Tale of Magic.
Once upon a time Earth was nourished by elves, pixies and dwarfs.
They worked in teams to maintain nature and environment in good health for mankind.
Every Autumn the dwarfs took their axes and worked hard to prune and clip all the plants, bushes and trees.
In the meantime, the elves collected the last berries and started to paint leaves and plants with beautiful yellow, red and brown colors.
The pixies had to cut short the parched grasses and bring it to the farmers for feeding the animals.
Other groups of elves would fly throught the air to collect dirty air and black smoke particles in great white veils to clean the air.
Just before Winter arrived, all the fallen leaves had to be collected and used for fertilizing the Earth and keep her warm during the cold months.
Every Winter, the dwarfs kept on with pruning and clipping. The elves brought snow to the Earth to let her sleep under this white soft blanket to rest from the past months of growing, flowering and blossoming.
At the end of the Winter the workers started with planting seeds for flowers, grain and much more. The snow had to be wiped away with brooms.
Pixies ran around and flied to the trees to touch branches for starting new life of buds of all kinds.
And then Spring came.
All the buds had to be sparged with fresh, clean water. Water that was filtered first to extract all the dirt and inorganic particles, like tins, plastic, glass, metal, chemicals and more.
All the new flowers and blossoms had to be painted in different kind of colors.
And than Summer came! An outburst of beautiful colors, flowers, lots of sunshine and lots of garbage. Mankind enjoyed the sunshine in the parcs, on the beaches and everywhere outdoor.
The fairy tale workers loved to see the people enjoy the sunshine, the flowers, leaves and all the living things. But, oh, they had to work so hard to keep Earth clean. To collect tins, plastic, glass
and other garbage. They had to give water to the plants and trees and clean the air from smog and black smoke particals. They had to mow and prune the already blown flowers and collect the fruits.
But they never complained and loved to see mankind enjoy all the good things of Earth.
Is this a Fairy Tale? Yes, it is, of course it is.
Or not ...?
Shouldn't it be possible for us to act like the fairy tale workers.
Like them, we can work hard to keep Earth clean and healthy, to nourish all what lives and to take care of our environment.
Wouldn't that be great? Wouldn't that be magic?
Let it be Earth Day, Every Day!

Thank you so much! I'm so happy that I came so far, because I hadn't made so much photomanips. So I wanted to try to get better with it, because I like it so much.

I'm stunned my friend, by your levels of beautiful creativity.
The literary story accompanies your Earth Day, Every Day mandala to such a point, it's hard to imagine them co-existing without each other
The dress is GORGEOUS! - full of colour and the pattern is beautifully imagined.
I love the transparency of the fairies and the red flowers are divine!
I could just talk on and on...but the bottom line is that your work is simply adorable, and I wish you the very best with the contest (let me know how you do

Oh, I'm really in awe for your kind comment!
The idea came in my mind and I worked hard on it to get it as I wanted. Especially some techniques of photomanipulation was something that I wanted to use, so that the different components would form a total piece and not individual things put together in the image.
I'm really very happy that you see the co-existention of the story and the picture as a whole.
In fact, the contest is more the fact that I have a target to reach. I need a subject to focus on. That's what I like in contests, they give me a trigger, a theme and then I can start working!

I totally understand, my friend
I too, like focus on whatever it is I do. I tend to be very organised and I like to know exactly what I'm doing down to the smallest of details.
You did a really good job with all of the different aspects to the piece that you used to create the whole picture.
I can see from each of your works, your natural evolution to try more detailed and interesting things with your art.
I always look forward to your deviations appearing in my inbox

- I found this to be a very unique presentation of the contest theme.
All together a wonderful piece, a fine mesh of visual and literary art.

Thank you so much for your comment!
In fact I like to make combinations like this: illustations with short stories.
