From the thumbnail, I actually thought this was an Apophysis, hehe. I love the combination of the red and teal, and the title suits it very well - it reminds me of a deep sea jellyfish of some sort.

one of the more interesting bulb renders i've seen, great work! i have some kind of phobia since childhood of deep waters, getting a little of that creepy feeling here

and about dA terrible image quality: we just need to be more accepting, after all dA is still quite new and displaying images is not really so important for an art site...
