This is my fractal version of Peggy Brown's Crosscurrents II [link] When I saw this in one of my mom's art books I thought it would be fun to see what I could come up with.

I loved the painting when I saw it and knew that I had to do a fractal interpretation. It was rather challenging but a lot of fun and a great learning experience. I am glad that you think I was able to do justice to the original. I'm thinking of contacting Ms. Brown to see how she feels about it as well as to tell her how much I love her art.

i think this is one of the best pieces you've done EVER! really, it's stunning. the "simplicity" (and that's not really the best word to use here) of the design serves to underscore its boldness. more in this vein, please.

Thank you very much. Would I be a terrible person if I said I think it's my best work too? I really am quite proud of this and enjoyed the challenge of it. This is the type of art I've been hoping to do and my understanding of UF is finally getting to the point that I can so you can count on more like this.

I love this piece Cerenity. I like the bold dynamic look to it, not to mention the strong energy it emits. The hard geometrics give it a masculine feel while the soft textured background & the faint black lines help soften it. Very very nicely done hon.

Thanks, Lauren. Someone asked me about another abstract fractal and I answered that I couldn't explain fractals but that I could have done something similar with much less effort in Photoshop but I without the sense of satisfaction. This one gives me a great sense of satisfaction.
