Description
UF 5.04; RealDrawPRO 5; PS CS3It was so cloudy and cold here, I thought it might be nice to create something warm.
This was definitely a learning experience (see, optimism.)

I think it looks very beautiful. I love the soft, delicate colors. Just Beautiful. I am brand new, just learning spirals for lesson 1. I would love if you can share any flower tutorials or links to flower tutorials, I think they are stunning. I can only hope that my future work turns out as beautiful as your designs.

Thank you very much. Welcome to and the wonderful world of Ultra Fractal. There are a lot of excellent tutorials and parameter packs here - [link] For flowers specifically, these are very good - [link] and [link]
If you need any help with UF, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks, Coco. I'll just look at it every time I want to warm up. It will be here soon. (We already had about an inch of snow but it didn't last.)

A small advice - use Round Julias. They're a lot less "busy" than other Julias, so they tend to give much less artifacts. Keep playing like this with shapes, they're very good.

Thanks, Coby. I started with more autumn colors but they didn't seem to work well with the flowers so I went for "hot".

Thank you.
I smoke outside and have to bundle up. We had snow a couple days ago and I tried to get my dog out to go potty, she looked at me like I was crazy and said, "Mommy, you know I can't even walk in that cold white stuff, how do expect me to go potty?"
The photoshopping got rid of the worst of them, but they're the little pieces that won't go away when using Doodads or similar OCAs; sometimes you can't even see them until it's rendered. I used the Blob Clipping transform for the first time and it can get rid of some of them but it's kind of a pain and you have to be able to see them to get the placement right. I wish UF had a "magnify" without the zoom especially with my poor vision.

Hah,is good that you smoke outside, sometimes when i complain too much he goes to kitchen. Here usually starts snowing in December, sometimes January even.I live near the sea so snow appears late.
Oh,i know what you are talking about.Usually those appear when you mess with the Bias or Twist. Some Trap modes have ugly spots thou too.I usually dont even touch the twist, just put bias(Re) on 1-2-3-4 for more petals. If 2 petals look different i change the morph function on abs or cabs.I am unsure how to explain it,not to say i am really bad at it.Like if you have "a" shape petal and "b" shape petal, and the flower looks like aabb,it will become abab.I can send you some flower shapes if you want, examples are better then me explaining myself.
But usually the main formula makes problems with "little" pieces, before i used to try different ones, now i stick to one( CY Generalized Durbi Julia is my fav),if i am into a spiral mode i just open that starter. Is easier to have an already clean base.I dont understand the bailout much so i prefer cheating this way.

I would love some flower shapes, thank you. I don't understand the bailout either but I saw it in a tutorial or somewhere that setting it lower can help.
I started smoking outside years ago and now it is uncomfortable for me to smoke inside.

I think i keep mine on 4,i dont pay much attention to it thou.I became lazy, instead on trying new formulas i stick to my library.
Sent the shapes.I looked for a "base one" with not much changes, but most of my saves are random.Try mappings like "turbulence" from mt.uxf (set strength less then 0.05) on them too.
Looking forward to your next flowers!

I hope you do more flowers!

Thank you very much. I'm sure I will do flowers again but I'll try to find a better formula to work with. I got the idea for the background spheres from *Suraud 's paintings.
