UFWell, I believe this is the first time I've ever asked for a critique!
After 5 years and almost 20,000 fractals (most of which have been deleted on my cleanups and I see it's probably time for another cleanup) I've had
one DD and still have about the same number of watchers I had the first year. SO I'm trying to figure out just what I might be doing wrong.
I don't know if it's my lack of self promotion (I feel kinda weird promoting my own fractals), or if I'm just an ass that ticks off most folks, or if my fractals
just plain suck! I don't think I'm an ass and I barely talk to pretty much anyone so I have to believe my fractals just suck! SO if ya have a minute or two
and you wouldn't mind telling me what it is that you don't like about my work I sure would appreciate it!

I guess I'm not the one to ever say your work sucks! I don't know why your work isn't getting the acclaim I feel it should have. I see a wondrous array of colors and designs that spur on the imagination. I see fluidity in your work. I see nothing but beauty. But perhaps others can give you different input. I believe we each create art that is meaningful to us personally. I believe that you try to create genuine art. Your swirls and colors and lines bring a truly unique gift to this community. Your work is so detailed and your canvas is full of imagery and interesting shaped and colors. I can only advise you to be true to your own heart and soul. It is to your credit that you wish to share your art with others. Please don't stop. Please don't change what you do unless you truly want to change our style. Just know that there are those of us here who enjoy your work and wish to see what you will create next. And that's my advice to you. It's the same advice I give myself every day. Be happy!

I believe it's a "normal" thing to fall in and out of creativity. Now I'm 47 and have tried it enough times to learn to accept this. I'm lucky to have music composing as my other great adventure, and when imagery fades out, music fades in 
Your work (and many other fractalists works) reminds me of what I saw long ago when I consulted the shamanic spiritual realm, aided by the wonderful plants provided by nature.Β
I see many fractal images as snapshots from this living realm. I actually once thought up a title for my own works "Snapshots from the pineal gland", - but yours and the other guys works actually fits this title better
This work helps me reawaken this feeling of something beyond description. Fractal images are closer to depicting true reality than a photo in my opinion

I agree with the critique and I might add that I find your fractal work beautiful Rick! Β Please do not stop with what you enjoy creating because many of us enjoy viewing them. I too am honored to be your friend here on DA!

Thanks so very much! I've been losing interest big time lately and don't really understand why! I used to do it cause I just loved it but now I can barley get myself to play with anything new!
I doubt I could change what I do or how I do it, but it would be nice to understand just where my thousands of fractals have fallen so short!
