Description
This is an in-zoom into a minibrot north for the big minibrot in the earlier motive, Border against Chaos_WideScreen, the coloring being different. For these kind of images, see my journal Ghostlike shadows of the Mandelbrot set.Software: Ultra Fractal.
Formula: ExtendedCompasses in my ik3-module. That module is a modification of the formula Cubic Parameterspace3 written by my dear friend Greenseng here at DeviantART. All his modules, as well as mine can be downloaded from here.
Below the parameter file, play and have fun

Coloring is sometimes the tricky thing in making good fractal images
Have you heard about fractals before?

Oh, but they're the prettiest ones
Yeah I've heard, but I have no idea what they truly are to be honest.... XD

Thanks you so much
Geometrical shapes that have details on every level of magnification. Don't sweat, I'll put some recycled info in a note for you. Hope you don't mind

You're most welcome
Hmm doesn't say much to me XD I have still noooo idea how people make them I'd like to try sometimes if it's semi easy at least
cuz I'm no computerexpert, and the parameters sometimes seem real complicated
- even I'd say I am (or atleast was) quite good at math XD
Okay, thank you so much - I'll check it now No, I don't mind at all

.. but now you've seen the videos
Ooh, the parameter texts under "Artists Comments" are meant to be copied and pasted into Ultra Fractal and the fractal images will be drawn. It's instruction for the UF how to calculate the image ..

Wow yeah and it seem waaaaayyy too complicated for me for now XD
but really cool
into Ultra Fractal.. Hmmm sounds interesting - then one could zoom it themselves?

You shall just enjoy them. Better than LSD
Yeah the parameter texts are exported form UF. See my journal,
How to draw the fractals from my parameter texts?

Loving the color gradient and the curls, very nice! I've seen these curls in Fractal Explorer
I'm trying to get into UltraFractal too, and might purchase it for myself for a personal Christmas present

Color gradients are often a tricky thing. For sure you know Thank you so much
You mean those "comma-like circles"?
That may be the finest Christmas present this year As a FE user you may appreciate UF very much
And you may run my parameter files (attached to most of my deviations) if you feel for it

WildWanderinGirl In reply to FractalMonster [2013-11-25 15:30:38 +0000 UTC]
Yes, that was what I meant, the comma-like shapes
I am already grooving on UF, I haven't worked out how to do the more advanced things yet but it isn't THAT difficult, sometimes it's just learning by repitition... And yes, already I see that there are a great many parameters available around dA that I can run and play around with...

FractalMonster In reply to WildWanderinGirl [2013-11-25 23:22:14 +0000 UTC]
This is the parent fractal. The comma-like shapes, I guess, are repetitions of the shape of the central basin
Neither I. I seldom even use layering, and when I do, it's in the most case for displaying different subsets in higher degree polynomials. But this can also be done using the technique of SetBorders. See especially articles 19a and 19b in my Chaotic series
