Yeah Thank you
BTW, have you heard about fractals before?

you're welcome.
Yeah I heard about fractals, dunno how they are done though, but they looked good back in the rave days
Awesome work, it made me nostalgic.
Now I have to dig some old school tapes

Don't sweat, below some recycled nfo
Wikipedia has a nice site [link] Most software can be downloaded from [link] . Many progs are free, for example Fractal Forge, Xaos, and Fractal Explorer
Not so difficult to play with such progs. You don't have to know anything about the math behind (most fractal artists do not). Otherwise you can have my "Chaotic series of fractal articles" [link] as a resource
Regarding deep zooms in the Mandelbrot set, if you check out my deviation "Cauliflowerfort" [link] and click the link under "Artist's Comments" you can follow the entire zoom sequence in 28 steps
In my journal [link] you have some links to short cool fractal animations I stumbled over at YouTube

wow!
that is one of the coolest answers I ever had!
thank you very much for the info and the insight!
yeah I heard of Mandelbrot and Fractal Forge before - back in 2002-3 methinks

However you a not alone
A big host of people have got almost the same info
I also sometimes use to say that the fascinating thing with the era we are living in is, that the most psychedelic fuzzy and the most dry mathematic have taken an big embrace to each other
Here [link] you have a zip with a small simple free software (Xaos) for Windows. Just unzip to a folder and draw it to your program folder (or anywhere), start the prog, point in the image with the mouse and press the mouse button But only if you feel for it

Odd That may be because it's an "ordinary" Mandelbrot motive, where NO filters or post processing is used
See my journal [link]
Thank you for your kind worlds

This is an ordinary blow up of the Mandelbrot set

that's funny that you say that many fractal artists do not know anything about the maths behind it

It seems me to be true Here [link] you have a zip with simple small free fractal software (Xaos). Just unzip, drag the program folder to C:\program files make a shortcut, start the prog point with the mouse in the image and press the mouse button
But only if you feel for it

That's the reason that I love fractals
BTW, It takes 80 minutes (not 45) to fall through the the earth to the other side in a vacuum tunnel I saw it in an old popular science journal (as an answer on a question) on my job yesterday. Probably the first journal tat I read it
