Description Returning to the land of Shadows. See my journal Ghostlike shadows of the Mandelbrot setUPDATE: Check out the deviation Celestial Shuriken 2 uploaded by :iconubermari0: and follow the links under Artist’s comments. He have found exact the same ghostlike phenomena described in this journal The difference is that in this case the phenomena is visible thanks to inside filter. Whiteout inside filter the central basin in Celestial Shuriken would be completely black Also check out the other part of his wonderful fractal gallery
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This journal refers to some Ghostlike phenomena I have found using the Compass formula z -> z^d - da^(d-1) z (see article 27 Compasses in my Chaotic

An in-zoom in the earlier

Software: Ultra Fractal.
Formula: Extended Compasses (adding a parameter "b". the full parameter space becoming a four dimensional hyper space).

Below the UF parametr file. Play and have fun

They are rendered to 6400x4800 and shrunk to 1960x1470 resolution.

My last series of fractals are maybe more interesting than beautiful. In fact they are

super interesting from a theoretical point of view

You may be right Fractals reminds of nothing and, at the same time, everything

That's one of the things that make fractals so fascinating

BTW, heard about fractals before?

Yeah aren't they

Maybe you//your friend would appreciate my Chaotic series of fractal articles (<- click) if you have a little theoretical interest

Regarding deep zooms in the Mandelbrot set, if you check out my deviation Cauliflowerfort and click the link under "Artist's Comments", from page 4 you can follow the entire zoom sequence in 28 steps

In this journal you have some links to cool fractal animations I stumbled over at YouTube. Also check out the zoom videos in this journal

.. and from the middle of the nineties there is a fantastic TV program about fractals, Colors of Infinity by Arthur Clarke Really beautiful soundtracks by Pink Floyd

It's interesting that what do you think while making this fractals. I always imagine all your works like the space and now this looks like the sun for me. Very breathtaking! And what do you imagine?

Ooh, I just happen to find this parade in that region. Fractalling is much

about to travel in space(s). I say "spaces", cause it's only only about where

to zoom in, but also to find an interesting formula, and this formula is a

little bit of my idea See the linked journal. My imagination is

in the long title

Oh, I see! Very interestingly:0 I think fractals are something incredible. It's fantastic that formulas can create sort of this works. From math to art just a little! Really cool:0
