Instead of the basic coloring (coloring according to the number of iterations) a evaluated form called Continius Potential Method (CPM) is used. This method produces continues slopes around the sets instead of discrete plateaus.
Ultra Fractal, formula Heptic Parameterspace3 in the sp3-module written by my dear friend Stig Pettersson, Greenseng here at DeviantART. All his modules, as well as mine can be downloaded from [link]
Below the parameter file, play and have fun :

is that this picture is a little strange ...

Fractal patterns are often "a little strange" by nature Hope you don't find it a little bit obscene, or something..
..In fact that patterns is just there when you zoom into the mentioned dot (the most northern in [link] )..

luanna-nala In reply to FractalMonster [2010-01-15 02:09:57 +0000 UTC]
kkkkkk obscene? now that you said I saw something like that! kkkkk but the strange part is that it seems an inverted cross

FractalMonster In reply to luanna-nala [2010-01-15 12:30:35 +0000 UTC]
OK, Now I think I understand If I magnify the lowest dot (in the bottom of [link] ) you will obtain a correct orianted cross
Or change the direction of the vertical axis (a_imag). You may not over interpret mathematical objects like fractals
Thanks for pointing it out
..and inside the cross. a little bit over the middle, there is a non inverted cross you can blow up ..and at the sides..

You see, you actually can't interpret the symbolic sense of "up and down" in the world of math And I didn't recognize it as a cross

really make sense that a mathematician is hard to interpret

BTW, a certain pattern within a fractal can mostly be found pointing in any direction (as we will see in for-coming deviations..
..and I am only a wannabe mathematician
