Chaos is an amazingly mysterious force, isn't it? For artists like us, who experiment with abstract and fractal mediums in both digital and traditional forms, chaos is a remarkably fascinating phenomenon. There is something deeply beautiful and philosophical about the endless possibilities that can be created with fractal software,,, I've only really experimented with Xaos and some cellular automata programs, I might give Apophysis a go sometime.

Chaos is beautiful, and it's always fun finding patterns within it.

I started with Apophysis, but now I use JWildfire.  It's currently updated on a regular basis and has more variations and options...there is so much more you can do with it.  I wholeheartedly recommend it!  There are loads of tutorials and an active forum where people can ask questions and talk about the software.  There are also lots of scripts and custom variations, as well.  I can give you links if you like.  There are also some active Facebook groups for JWildfire, too.
