Thanks... (thanks to algebra and trig to figure out all the angles too!

That'll be why I don't do fractals: I suck at math ... s.

fractals are less math. (Ulitrafractal)

Thanks
This boolean (hexagon) was a challenge- had to get out the old trig/algebra from a very dusty place in my brain... sin/cosine tangent... to figure the angles of rotation to make a hexagon by chipping away at a block... got it on the first try though!

it turned out wicked, glad you remembered! I'm practicing but at times don't have the patience when I get an idea... It's the journey through and the outcome that is worth it.

I had to change up the textures because at first, you couldn't see the hexagons!then I changed the lighting and surface reflectance of one of the boolean front face textures to show the steps a little better.

I often have to do the same thing, but it is so worth it in the end!

Thanks! The first time, with default materials settings, the feflections blended together, and while I had the hexagons layered, they were not overlapping but seamed together, but the reflection from the step mirrored to the bottom, so it looked like overlapping hexagons. This one shows some detail that they are seamed and stepped without overlapping, but I may still play with it some more, other than changing the reflection settings and such. lol.
