Bryce. you create objects inside a mirrored sphere, move the camera inside. glass takes a long time to render in bryce. This should help: [link]

Wow.. yep that's cool. I have always wondered how those were made. That's it.. I'm gonna get Bryce tommorow and install it. (I have Maya, and I am slowly slogging throuh tutorials learning how to use it, but I am sure that it would take four more pages to learn how to do this same effect there.) Thanks Paul!

Maya? wow- I've been struggling with Blender. The interface is so not intuitive. Its a community project program- even the mouse button functions are reversed...been wondering if I should try the free Vue version...

Thanks. I wanted to have objects merge and changed the transparency for these effects. too bad it never got to finish. next time I will render smaller and the good ones will get rendered larger..

actually it was mbam- done scan- and I wasn't paying attention... reboot. darn!
