Sorry, my last comment should have said PEN skethes, not Pet.

Your Pet sketches are simply amazing. I have a portrait of Oscar Wilde done in pen early in my gallery, so I have some experience. But your technique is excellent.

Kind of reminds of "Zu Mountain" from the movie "Zu Warriors". Your piece is even cooler than ever. AWESOME work, Daywatchgirl fractionalself

Thanks! I'm going to check out Zu Warriors ('cause when I looked the movie up on the net, it had some pretty cool reviews.)

Man, I like that! I can see so many faces in it, as well as castles, trees, flames, and other things. I love the pen work.

Your latest pen studies really captivate the mind. Nicely articulated!

nifty yes.
two little grumbles:
- give more space on the paper to subjects like this so the feeling of freedom will increase
- the 'feature' (leave, curlicue) right on top, in the middle axis - you know? here the line is continuous - what is nowhere else on the edge-shapes. it jumped directly into my eyes and this is a little bit sad....
but indeed nifty (i love the new words i learn here on dA :] )

Thanks for the feedback. I like both suggestions and will definitely try to work them into later sketches. The first is just a matter space (although I suppose that's composition, eh?) and the second is a little harder to apply, cause it's a mistake... I know exactly the spot... it's the last place I drew anything and looks very out of place and unfinished... and I'm very glad you picked up on it. Thanks for commenting!

This reminds me to "Spawn" in some sort of way, I like it, looks kinda creepy and dark

Took me a second to see what you were talking about... but you've got a convert... and now I'm going to play around in photoshop, see if I can enhance the ripped effect with some dark spots. Thanks!

Cool. Your technique to contrast and shadow is pretty effective. Good job.
