Antoine made me laugh at times. Actually I liked the first few issues of the comic when it was still very silly and spoofed other comic books. But I got sick of it once they tried taking themselves seriously.

There's nothing wrong with trying to take Sonic seriously. Sonic Lost World's plot failed because it tried be both a comedy and drama and managed to screw up both. A good, dramatic story CAN be done, but SEGA seems allergic to drama these days. With the comics, I probably can't blame them.

See, I actually think Lost World is great because it does both. Sonic, to me, is a comical concept and should be treated more as such. It's a silly idea that you can throw a few dramatic elements into now and then, but you have to constantly keep in mind that it's funny.

I don't know. The last part I got to in the game was when the bridge collapses and it looks as though Eggman has fallen to his death, which I will admit definitely startled me. Of course, I know he's not REALLY dead because then where would the series go? *laughs* Honestly, with series like these, I get more fun out of just watching what happens. I know the characters will make it through, but seeing HOW they do it is where the fun is.

You just KNOW none of the characters will really suffer. SEGA don't like that. So any attempt at drama falls flat because they don't have the balls to actually kill anyone off.

Yeah, but it's not that kind of series. Again, it's a superhero comedy. You don't really play it for a startling view of human suffering. You play them to have a fun adventure and that's it.

Too much entertainment is crap already for me to be so harsh on what little is out there that I like. I don't need something to make me believe in love again. I just want to have a pleasant experience for a little bit of time. And that's what the games do for me. *shrugs*

Unfortunately, I've put Ask Dr. Robotnik to an end at this point. I'm not sure there's much more I can do with it. But hopefully you'll enjoy The Mysterious Dr. X or Ask Vaudeville.
