Pinkie Pie violates the laws of physics all the time, it wouldn't be a stretch that her pregnancy caused a hole in the space time continuum inside her uterus, causing the filly to be born into another era.

Well personally, when it comes to the Ace Wings, I didn't have access to a male Rainbow Dash model, and by the time one appeared, it was kind of too late for me to want to use it because they looked like that for a few years now.

I did eventually switch to a male Doctor Whooves model though, far as I can recall, he and Discord Whooves were the only other male ponies I actually used to use on a regular basis before the male models came out..
