I'm glad somebody finally noticed the Simpsons influence in Alphys! Still working on Undyne, though. There's one artist in particular who has a great design for her but I can't remember his name. I was going off of memory as best I could with it. I also need to watch some more Earthworm Jim or Powdered Toast Man shorts to get some ideas on how to draw muscular characters in a funnier, more flexible manner.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious and very much appreciated that Alphys would look like a Groening drawing, since she already does. I think Undyne would have to look something akin to All Might, with a stark difference from anyone else with heavy shadowing just to make her look more intense.

I wouldn't really bother with a style difference since all the characters are supposed to feel like they belong in the same world. Even the inclusion of the Matt Groening style is subtle with Alphys. I'm just of the camp that thinks Undyne should look buff instead of scrawny. She's a knight, for Pete's sake!

Alphys canon voice in my head is a stuttering Lisa Simpsons actually, maybe a bit more nasal.

Pretty much the same here. The moment I saw her in the game, I thought "it's a dinosaur version of Lisa Simpson!"
