Description Can anybody see the light
Where the morn meets the dew and the tide rises
Did you realise, no one can see inside your view
Did you realise, forwhy this sight belongs to you

[Excerpt from "Strangers" - Portishead (Dummy)]

It's not the same shot as in Isobel though I took them during the same shooting... Wanted to submit this one as well since I got some good feedback on Isobel
In this one I didn't use diffuse glow distortion or level adjustment, I just desaturated it and added some tone
Enjoy!

i like the way the hair kind of distorts the face--it almost looks like someone has clawed the image all the way down like a cat. it's a neat effect.

have to say i agree with a lot of the opinions. i prefer this one to isobel. not by a great deal but there's something to this one that the other one just didn't have. I've nothing against using PS but maybe it's the 'cleanness' (??) of this one that appeals to me more. the catchlights in you eye add real life to the photo.

this really caught my eye, it's so striking.
i love the fact that the hair isn't super-model perfect, it makes your shot so much more human.
lovely.

nice job on this one girlie, from the bordering down to the composition of it. think i'd prefer this one to isobel myself, but they are two good pieces, each with their own distinct sense of self, but this one, this is pretty good. you were right to stick with the steps you took with the shot (just the desaturation and tone), real nice one

toning, contrast and composition: everything's wonderful as it is. plus, I really enjoy the sharpness of your shot and the use of the distortion glow. it adds a lot to the whole picture. but sarah, you know my honest way of commenting and therefore I have to admit that I kinda dislike that this shot's pretty similar to isobel. the first time I saw it, I thought you were resubmitting isobel. anyways a good photo, but compared to your other selfportraits, not a very original one. please don't feel offended

Oooh I likes! Glad you submitted this one too
You look so pretty and emotion..less actually..but that gives the shot a powerful feeling that we are missing out on what is going on. Perhaps we're not in on the secret. The song exept is so appropriate for the shot " Can anybody see the light". I enojoy the brightness and also the reflections in your eye and mouth.
Wonderful stuff

Sehr intensiv.
