Description
Random weekend crafting. There is no bigger project this was designed for, but it works well with my Nestor Nosferatu sculpture.
It's about 3 cm high with the handle down (about 1,2 inches). With the handle up it's 5 cm (or 2 inches).
It's made of aluminium and steel wire, polymer clay, a small funny shaped light bulb, a wooden bead and a watch part.

I want to do something like this, but I've never sculpted before.

Well, a good way to start sculpting is to try it out. Play with the material and don't stress too much about the end result. You can't get better if you don't start somewhere
Maybe make something you already have but smaller, so you'll have a good reference and you can easily see what sort of shapes the object has.
You can also get good tips watching other people sculpt online, that's how I got the courage to try polymer clay. E.g. ClayClaim and Ace of Clay on YouTube use polymer clays. I also like watching Bentley House Miniatures, she doesn't sculpt with clay very much, but if you like small things and miniatures specifically, you might find that interesting.

Nope. It's got a thick round top though, sort of like a small magnifying glass. I wonder if that was the only thing visible when it was in use. I don't know.
