I was watching Mike Matei play King's Knight on Youtube recently, like one does. The game was bad, but something snapped in my head and it made me want to do this... pixel... fantasy... game... mock up... tapesty... thing? Because the levels went up vertically, with the boss at the top. I tried to simplify my style further to look like it could be made with grids and sprites and no, I couldn't quite commit to it fully.

Original colours on the left, night mode on the right. Both have 14 colours, but most are the same, so 17 colours in total.
