Description My modest heart is made of glass,
The cold but fragile solid.
And though my heartache will not pass,
I will pretend I’m stolid.

My wilting heart is bending quick,
And splitting into more.
The tiny pieces; bitter, sick.
With grief, I do deplore.

Perchance I’ll dream about it whole.
Perchance it won’t deceive me.
Perchance its strings I will control.
Perchance it wouldn’t leave me.

My dismal heart is shedding ache,
It won’t let me embrace it.
And in my arms it starts to quake,
I guess I have to face it.

My sleeping heart is warm inside,
Of crimson it once swallowed.
The breaths I took remain inside,
I’m glad it is not hollow.

Perchance it lived within my mind.
Perchance it wasn’t slaughtered.
Perchance in me I have to find.
Perchance it must be watered.

Thank you. "Perchance" is a cool word; so is "hollow". My online journal is actually entitled "Perchance To Dream". Staring at the word every day made me want to use it in my vocabulary for once.
