Rashes on his thighs from bitter chewing.
Teased is dignity by trouble brewing.
Crack the whip but kiss the shaking.
Lost the absence she was faking.

How’s it feel to understand,
That troubled, loving, brutal hand,
Which robs your eyes of slumbers sand,
And shoves you from said sheltered land?

Selfless, mindless, thoughtless luring,
Led poor angel’s wings to blurring.
Tears scorch lies into his face.
The laughter shoves her into place.

Darling’s eyes are bloodshot gray.
Colorless willed to betray.
With all the words, numbers portray,
All she had promised turned her gay.

The pencil sketch erases screams.
It’s pain induced to smile in dreams.
Another serpent soils the water.
Mary was still just a daughter.

How does he sleep on tainted sheets?
How can she love the heartless beat?
Why can’t the nothings ever meet?
A concentrated, loved defeat.
