Description
You tasted of peppermint and sweatand as much of heaven as I’ll ever get.
You call yourself a Catholic,
but where do we fit into your doctrines?
We must be an obscenity; your blood
and other things mixing together
in a stain of sin on borrowed bedsheets.
You said that small scratch was worth it,
payment for a stolen hour spent together.
My apologies fall like Hail Marys to a God
I never quite believed in, apologies
for the blood drawn, for the cigarettes,
for the time I waste in giving you hell
when we could be kissing our way there instead.

love it. I think i relate to it differently than most people, and from what i read you, but that's not the point. Great work.

Why don't you like it?
I'm open to suggestions, but I don't see what's wrong.

It's a poem that's made by its detail, and that's an obvious grey area. It doesn't elicit anything sensual.
