That was the description for my Halloween costume. Geisha fairy.Taken in the "Indian deli" by school, by ~bangbangmybaby , on Halloween 2005.

I can remember very clearly my boyhood, listening to a tape of 'Going Solo' read by Ian Holm. When he regains his vision and sees this nurse, Mary Welland, who had padded his eyes with wool laced with some substance or another for weeks. He falls in love with her in his somewhat unenlightened position, but when both eyes are wide open he declares 'You are even more beautiful than I imagined' to which the reply was 'Why, thank you'.
Also reminds me of my deaf Grandmother not being able to hear said sequence.
