Description
this image is based on a dream i had while sleeping on my couch one morning last week.. in this dream i was laying in pretty much the same position on my couch while these metal plugs were being inserted into the flesh along my torso.. one of the uppermost plugs, bigger than the rest, came out and rolled away across the floor, and i started bleeding profusely.. every time i tried to reach toward the missing plug, a fresh gush of blood would come out of the hole in my chest. i was clutching it, trying to stop the bleeding, but it wasn't of no use, and i started to become groggy and fade away due to the vast blood loss.. i woke up clutching my chest, and was left with an incredibly deep ache there for a couple days afterward, so i decided to focuss it into a recreation of this dream.. this is the result..i want to extend a huge thank you to Ash for so kindly taking such a lovely picture for me to work with. i had spent a good 5 hours searching for a stock photo in this pose and had no luck, so finally broke down and went begging, and she came through with this.. thank you!!!

This is one of my all-time favourites! I especially love the "look" of the woman (even if it's not really there) ... the shape of her mouth is so... so... I don't have words for it... I just love it

Good work. It's mechanical, it's realistic, yet the blood looks like jelly, giving everything a surreal quality too. Makes me think of the first world war for some reason... I think it's the bullet holes. Which makes a good combo with the fragile, young girl.

Not into blood but you always find a way to make it pleasing to the eye ~ I remember your site with the teeth, anyway, this is a stunning piece as usual and I love the tape. It all looks so real, excellent job!

Have you perhaps seen the Dune movie -- infamous classic by David Lync -- lately? After all, good old Baron Harkonnen enjoyed to install heartplugs in just about everyone, and particularly enjoyed pulling the plug and watch the bleeding .
I like this .

You should. It's an absolute masterpiece .
Of course Lynch was rather liberal when interpreting the book, but it's still a very nice movie .

Thank you. Nothing pleases me more than to see my mediocre stock put to good use in a fabulous piece of work like yours. This piece is what keeps me hanging on to DA still, because I know what I put in can be made beautiful. Should I ever submit more resources, it'll be because work like yours made it worth the effort several times over.

I wish I had dreams as inspiring as yours.
The blood looks so realistic. And I just love the "old" effect you gave to the rest of the picture.
Every piece of your work is a masterpiece.

The photo is absolutely beautiful to begin with.. Great posture/gesture... I love the crop, how her eyes are absent from the picture... It gives a definate sense of uncertainty.
Very nice work on the plugs, very convincing job.
The blood is.. very abundant and messy... I love it.
Also.. The frame.. Definately worth commenting on. Its gorgeous, coupled with the scratches on the piece and the background... Just wonderful. I love the tone and mood set with the palette as well..
I would have commented this before I fav'd it, but I was just so tired last night and wanted to leave some coherent feedback.

Wow. The blood and the holes are perfectly done and I love that border. It all looks quite realistic and the scratches and grunge give it a messy surreal feeling. I love looking at art inspired from dreams, or nightmares in this case.
