Very original! I love that you've taken the photo from a completely different angle to what most people do. Especially since, in a way, it was at the compromise of the full extent of beauty of a butterfly's wings. And yet you've turned it into a fantastic image

i also have the 60mm macro (nikon) and i also have to be very patient to get what i want... i take several shoots of the same subject to be sure to get the right focus

your photos are an inspiration to me, you are really great with the composition and colours

I bought the 100mm macro lens for my 40D for the exact reason you state -- you have to get so darn close with the 60mm that you usually end up irritating your subject! But you pulled it off and wow, that's a fantastic shot.

You must have had some amazing sunlight for that, because 1/3200 of a second is faaaaast.
