Description
Thanks to some lovely suggestions by I finally have the finished product for Aine's Tree. I am very happy with this one!I give permission to and to post in their club gallery.

I love this,its so awesome,I love the old world feel of it,the burnt ripped paper and the subject,its just wonderful,Ive been trying to do this sort of thing but cant get the hang of it,but you certainly have,beautiful beautiful job!!!!

here's some hints on getting that look: (i got them from he was very helpful!) i started with the image of the tree in b&w, then when the faries were placed, i put a layer of textured paper (i took a picture of some of my origami paper with the edges ripped, but you can find stuff in stock images too), then i played with dodge, burn and transparency until it looked right. you can see earlier versions in my gallery, i like this one the best.

in terms of pointers, just assume i don't know anything, i won't take offense. thanks for the tip on the pen tool, i haven't really played with it yet.

Wow this is so beautiful. I jsut think it's fantastically done. The texture is amazing for one, and I love the uneven color, almost like coffee stains.
