This is a piece I've been working on for awhile, and I'm currently stuck. This is a mannequin that i received through questionable means (
) I've been painting her, not exactly sure if this is considered sculpture or not. Her name is Marsha! 
I will continue the flowers up and around her neck. But I am not sure what to do with the rest of her! You can see inside her armholes that there is masking tape, this is so I don't get fiberglass all over. Yuck! Anybody know how to finish fiberglass? I'm stuck for inspiration on how to finish her off. I only have the top half of her, she is currently resting on a mike stand. I would appreciate any suggestions, no matter how crazy!
You guys got any ideas?

how do you come up with these ideas, they are so nice!
i think a waterfall from the side of her head down to the front of her neck would look really different...maybe...i don't know if it would fit in well....or maybe a landscape on her head going down her forehead, like a desert or some middle eastern structure....oh or a veil...she seems to be staring beyond, maybe she's a seer... if that makes any sense, at all

VERY cool...I've never seen anything like that before. Love the colors (especially that shade you used for her "skin"). The flowers are very well painted. I have to say that her stare is creeping me out!

hehehe, wow i freaked you out! now that's an accomplishment! i think i'll be working on her for awhile, she keeps going through different incarnations, i put this up hoping to get some suggestions, and i've gotten some good ones.

I don't know anything about fiberglass... could you put body/facial piercings on her? Or do a painting flower to actual growing ones around Marsha?

piercings are a good idea, i don't know if i can actually do it, or if i'd paint them on, and i like the idea of a flower turning into one, that's unique. thanks!

Suggestions...hmm.... I think you should have the flowers grow up her back into a vine, which goes over her trapezius on her right side, and into finely knit lines upto just under her right ear .... or somthing to that afftect....
but about the fiber glass thing... i havn't got a clue, sorry

that's what i thought too, i'm thinking about using tulle (that's the stuff that ballerina's tutus are made out of) it's really see through, but still has a lot of texture.

Perhaps using the small buds and not having anymore big flowers up and around her neck something viney but not looking like it's going to strangle her. Just thinking again--very dangerous tell me to stop!

Wow. I like! I absolutely love the bottom right angle! Urethane should encase the fiberglass enough to keep it from shedding.
What to do... defintely complete the flowers up and around her neck. She reminds me a lot of the girl in the first Start Trek Movie. (may the bald head--how original is that thought 
What might be really wild would be to have some form of life like a lizard or bird painted on her--maybe. That's a crazy idea yeah?
And lastely (I did not forget to mention this earlier either--best for last) The flowers are very well done

I like her how she is. I think the flowers look better unconnected. Maybe draw a design on her cheeck--a sun or moon. I love the red you have her in--or did she come that way?

That looks very pretty. Perhaps you could continue the flowers up the back of her neck and stop at her hairline giving the sense that the flowers are her hair
