this is very, very nice. the over-all concept is overwhelming, and the impact was incredible, not to mention the artistry behind it. my only comment was this: on the pool of what i can only guess is blood beneath her you've got a little highlight on the edge, which is perfect, but then it continues to the otherside, as if there are two light sources, it confuses the eye into wondering whether she's sitting in a pool, or getting ready to fall into a hole in the floor.

There is so much to this, I don't know where to begin. The season is winter, home has fallen into disrepair, to the very subtle fact that even with the curtains closed you can see in or out. You have truely opened yourself to the damage and have no shame in letting the world at large see it. (That is a courage that I will never be able to praise enough.) The pieces aren't fitting together as in there original form and some are completely different--alluding to growth--serious growth and energy of spirit and character.
I take selfish pride in knowing you and calling you friend.

Holy crap...this is awesome! Love your use of shadow and shading in it, and that ultra-light hatching you used in the corner of the room...wow. The anatomy on the figure looks great--good perspective--and you did a wonderful job portraying the stitched flesh. The figure's pose is well done, and really gives the piece a sense of action, and keeps it from being static. I'm totally impressed with how you drew the window behind the drapes--they really look filmy and transparent. The snow outside and on the window really lends this piece a mood of lonelyness. Extremely well done...this might be my favorite of all I've seen of your stuff!
